An absolutely excellent book, but also one of the saddest books I have ever read. It was a great history lesson reading The Boy's War, I learned so much that I was not aware of. I didn't realize that many of the boy's in the book went to war mainly for the money.
I also had no idea that there were so many kids in the war/5(41). The Boys War by Jim Murphy is an interesting book. Its perspective of the Civil War is different from any other book about the conflict. In most books, youll probably find some historian with lots of facts and statistics giving you a bystanders point of view/5.
